Kelly isn't afraid to let her personality shine--whether that's as an OPA or a style icon.
Personal style in one word: Laid-back.
Style Icons: Emma Watson—she’s beautiful. Carrie Underwood—I wish I could be her.
One piece of advice to underclassmen: Make the most of every moment.
Favorite places to shop: H&M and American Eagle.
Dream vacation: Arizona and Sedona. They have such pretty red rocks. It’s hot but not humid. I’m about that dry heat. I went when I was a kid on a family vacation and I loved it.
Coffee or tea: I got a Café Mocha the other day from Starbucks and it was like a fancy hot chocolate with espresso.
Best part about being an OPA: Having the opportunity to work with people who are so passionate about JMU. It doesn’t feel like work. I get to dance and sing a lot which are my two favorite things. I can’t do that on campus as much anymore. Because you’re in that role, you can be completely authentic and crazy and people will love you for it no matter what. This summer was incredible.
Why is personal style important to you: Personal style is a way to express who you are. Without saying anything, you can say who you are through the way you wear your clothes or the way you do your hair and makeup.
