Meet Junaid Siddiqui
Junaid Siddiqui is one stylin' dude. With roots in the U.K., Junaid is different from your typical American bro. He likes to look good AND feel good in what he wears; this sets him apart from that frat guy who just rolled out of bed in letters. Junaid describes himself as, "sharp" and I couldn't agree more.
Junaid finds his style inspiration not from magazines or televsion shows or storefronts. He finds it from members of his own family. "I find inspiration from just hanging out with my brother a lot. He dresses really well, especially since he’s going to university in London right now. From his end, every day, you wake up and you're like 'dang, if I'm going out, I have to dress decently.' Even my grandfather, every day went he went to work, he wore a suit and tie and a tophat. Going to school there when I was younger made me realize that when you’re going out, you need to look good." Amen, Junaid.
Junaid laments the rise of the bean boot. "When I was younger, I lived in Maine, and L.L. Bean was huge. Everybody went there for their winter clothes. I would actually get them muddy and they were necessary. Now, they just seem to be a trend and I don’t know if I like that. It just weirds me out."
Personal style is important to Junaid and he makes the clear in the most simple of ways. "It’s a way to tell myself that I’m ready for the day no matter who I meet. I’m feeling comfortable, I’m looking comfortable."
Junaid is also a Student Ambassador, but he punches up his tour outfit with a secret weapon. "I usually wear an Ambassador long-sleeved shirt or something JMU. I have tour shoes, though. They’re my favorite thing of the outfit. They’re basketball shoes that Kobe wore when he first came into the league. They’re super out there and they remind me of the 90’s."

Favorite stores to shop at: I honestly have not been to a store in the states in a while. I got to England a fair amount because of family. I like Express, which is like it’s British counterpart, Next. I like online shopping at ASOS. My grandparent’s also send me a lot of collared button-down shirts.
