Gentleman's Vocabulary: Joggers
Jogger
/ˈdʒɑː.ɡɚ/
If you were to combine an urban slim-fit pair of pants and your favorite pair of sweats, you would end up with the jogger. Joggers are characterized by the cuff at the end of the pant leg and a rather visible draw string waist. Joggers do vary in terms of design, material, and pattern, but provide a rather relaxed look that works on the weekends, but also provide the comfort of sweatpants without making you look like you’ve given up on life. Though they range in price, you’ll typically spend $40 to $60 on a good pair of joggers, but there are some brands that can cost a little over $100. What’s so great about joggers? They can be applied to many different looks. They work especially well with street/urban style but can also work with an athletic look. For me specifically? I usually wear them with my PF Flyer high tops and pull them up to my mid-calf for an athletic look. I am also a fan of wearing them with low top/no sock combination just to have a relaxed look. No matter how you wear them, wear them with confidence.
