Merry Christmas from the 22807 family to yours! In my town, Christmas is a fashion show and the Communion line at Church is our very own runway. This year, Christmas looks stepped up. Here are some ideas to sparkle just a little extra. 1. Incorporate some fur: Faux fur is huge this holiday season. It is everywhere and because it's faux, it's good for the animals and good for your pocket. It seems like every store is carrying faux fur, from middle school favorite, Hollister, to the prepster's haven, J.Crew. A fur snood is a great statement and will keep you warm and stylish. Additionally, a sweater with a fur collar dresses up any look. 2. Tis the season for red and green: But not just the red and green off the color wheel. Try something more evergreen, like the color of your Christmas tree. The darker green is more subtle and looks great in the form of corduroy pants or cashmere sweater. Same goes with red. Try burgundy, something that resembles more similar to red wine than a fire truck's siren. These colors look great with your basic white, black, and grey, but also mix really well together. 3. Baubles on baubles: Bling it up for Jesus! Just kidding of course, but really. Go all out with your holiday jewelry. I love a good statement necklace with a lot of cubic zirconium or some dangly earrings. Pile on the bangles as well. Your jewelry should feel free to take the center stage. 4. The final piece: Makeup is essential. With all the family photos you'll be taking, your makeup needs to be real good. A filter won't be able to cover up those dark circles because filters don't exist in real life. Try a red lip this Christmas, or a sheer metallic eyeshadow. A luminous cream will also highlight those cheekbones. We hope you have a merry, little Christmas and that Santa gets you everything on your list!
